Rose Davidson Picker

Rose Davidson Picker, of Cedarburg, died on June 20 of congestive heart failure. She was 93.

Picker was born in Milwaukee. She graduated with honors from North Division High School, the Wisconsin College of Music, and Milwaukee State Teacher’s College.

She taught kindergarten in Whitefish Bay, Brown Deer and Milwaukee school districts.

She was a member of Congregation Shalom.

According to her family, Picker enjoyed music, teaching, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was an “accomplished pianist” who “made a lasting impression on her students and their parents.”

Husband Joseph M. Picker preceded her in death in 1957. She is survived by sisters Bedane (Marvin) Bines of Milwaukee and Marilyn Bassewitz of Appleton; son Scott Picker of Cedarburg; daughters Sandra Park of Madison and Bobbie (Jim) Kramer of Denver; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven step-great- grandchildren.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at graveside services at Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery on June 24.
