Milwaukee native Edward D. Neubauer died Oct. 21 of cancer. He was 83.
A 1942 graduate of Riverside High School, he earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in 1949.
He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in the U.S. Army Rainbow Division during World War II. He was employed as a manager by Kohl’s Department Stores.
Neubauer was a member of Congregation Shalom. He was an active volunteer at the Jewish Home and Care Center and Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital, his family said.
He is survived by Helene Levy Neubauer, his wife of 58 years; sons Mark (Diane) Neubauer of Los Angeles, Fred (Margaret) Neubauer of Wilmette, Ill., and James (Elizabeth) Neubauer of Milwaukee; and eight grandchildren.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at funeral services Oct. 23. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
