Milwaukee native Bernard Shavzin died on May 28. He was 97.
Shavzin worked for many years as a retail store manager at a number of different businesses in Milwaukee. He enjoyed collecting coins, filling out crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.
Shavzin and his late wife, Marianne “Billie” Shavzin (nee Hurwitz) retired to Florida more than 30 years ago. He was preceded in death by son Jay Shavzin and survived by daughters Adrienne (Mel) Black of Aventura, Fla., Lorell Owens of Hollywood, Fla., and Melanie (Marc) Korman of Milwaukee; brother Arthur (Charlotte) Shavzin of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial took place in Florida.
