Leonard Weiner

Milwaukee native Leonard R. Weiner, M.D., died on April 28. He was 87.

A resident of West Newton, Mass., Weiner served as a captain in the United States Army during World War II. He was a highly respected child psychiatrist, educator and writer, according to his family.

Weiner is survived by his sister Miriam (Gene) Mayer of Whitefish Bay and his nieces and nephews.

A private burial was held at Spring Hill Cemetery.
