Warren L. Abramson of South Milwaukee died of a heart attack on May 13 at the age of 78.
He attended Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School, or Boys Tech as it was known then, and had a career with the Milwaukee Brewers. According to his family, he was the first employee hired by Brewers owner Allan (Bud) Selig 37 years ago when Selig brought the Chicago White Sox to County Stadium to play nine games after the Braves left Milwaukee for Atlanta.
He was a member of Temple Menorah and the Palmer Lodge of the Masons-Tripoli Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, in 1986. He is survived by sons Eliot Abramson and Randy Linday; sisters June Abramson and Marilyn (Harvey) Miller; and a granddaughter.
Rabbis Isaac and Gil-Ezer Lerer officiated at funeral services May 17. Burial was in Agudas Achim Cemetery.
