Thekla K. Taussig

Longtime Milwaukee resident Thekla K. Taussig recently of Northbrook, Ill., died March 28. She was 93.

Born and raised in Germany, she came to Milwaukee in 1934 and lived here until 1999. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Hole Proof Hosiery, Milwaukee Lace and Paper Co. and Boston Store, according to her family.

She was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue.

Preceded in death by husband Ernst Taussig in 1961, she is survived by sons Stuart (Marianne) Taussig of Riverwoods, Ill., and Lynn (Lisa) Taussig of Denver; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rabbi Shlomo Pontos officiated at funeral services March 30. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
