Steve Solochek

Milwaukee native Steve Solochek died of complications of multiple sclerosis on Oct. 16. He was 64.

A 1961 graduate of Washington High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

According to his family, his special interests included sports, literature and music.

Preceded in death by father Bernard “Barney” Solochek, he is survived by mother Becky Solochek of Milwaukee; and sisters Sylvia (Jim Walters) Solochek Walters of Oakland, Calif., and Beverly (Joe Fried) Solochek of New York City.

Rabbi Yitzchak Berman officiated at funeral services on Oct. 19. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

The family appreciates memorial contributions to the Jewish Home and Care Center.
