He was a member Congregation Beth Israel and was a former president of its Men’s Club. He was also a member of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center Men’s Club, B’nai B’rith International and Kosberg’s Russian Bath and Mikvah on Vliet Street, which was owned by his father. He was the recipient of the Jewish Home and Care Center’s Tzadik Award and a Milwaukee Public Schools Service Award, according to his family.

He especially enjoyed travel, Jewish music, current events and volunteering for United Way and the Jewish Home and Care Center.

He is survived by wife Hildegarde (nee Paykel); sons Jordan (Juanita) Kosberg of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Larry Yoel Kosberg of Milwaukee; and brother Reuben (Ruth) Kosberg of King’s Point, Fla.
