Lifelong Milwaukeean Sarah Golden Wein died April 2 of complications of age at the Jewish Home and Care Center. She was 95.
A graduate of North Division High School, she received a degree in dental hygiene from Marquette University in 1928. For many years, she worked with her late husband, Jack Wein, in his pharmacy. He died in 1975.
Her memberships included Congregation Shalom, Hadassah, Women’s American ORT and the Marquette Alumni Association.

Her special interests included gardening, knitting and volunteering at the home. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Israel with the Jewish Community Center.
She is survived by daughters Bernie (Erv) Socol of Mequon and Gloria (Marty) Goldberg of Bayside; son Fred (Linda) Wein of Fox Point; and five grandchildren.
Rabbis Ronald Shapiro and Shlomo Pontos officiated at the graveside service on April 3 at Second Home Cemetery.
Memorials to the Jewish Home and Care Center were suggested by the family.
