Rudolph Marcus

Former Milwaukeean Rudolph Marcus died on Dec. 22 in Lauderhill, Fla. He was 95.
He was born in Gustrow, Germany, and fled that country in 1937 with his wife, the late Lore Marcus.

A longtime department store executive, he worked at Boston Store in Milwaukee for 30 years before retiring and moving to Florida with his family in 1979.

According to his family, he painted modern-style art and once showed his work at a local exhibition.

Funeral services were held in North Lauderdale on Dec. 24.

He is survived by daughter Marianne (Ronald) Blecker of Margate, Fla., son Michael D. Marcus of Lauderhill; three grandchildren and two great-granchildren.
