Norman Lofchie

Lifelong Milwaukeean Norman Lofchie died Dec. 16 of cardiac arrest. He was 72.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of sergeant. A retired salesman, he was a past commander of the Horenstein-Katz Post No. 701 of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA, Department of Wisconsin.

Lofchie also belonged to B’nai B’rith and Congregation Shalom. In his spare time, he enjoyed entertaining children, particularly with his animal calls act.

He is survived by his wife, Millie Lofchie (nee Moses); son Gary (Kathy) Lofchie of Milwaukee; and a grandson.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro conducted funeral services on Dec. 18. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Memorials to the Jewish War Veterans would be appreciated by the family.
