Nathan T. Garber

Longtime Milwaukeean Nathan T. Garber died of cancer June 9. He was 84.
Born in Grand Rapids, Wis., he came to Milwaukee as a small child. He graduated from North Division High School in 1937 and earned a degree from the Marquette University School of Engineering in 1941.

A chemical engineer, he was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue. He enjoyed fishing, building, carpentry and rehabilitating homes, according to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Garber (née Mechanic) of Glendale; daughters Harriet (Dan) Armstrong of Simi Valley, Calif., Rixanne (Steve) Lefco of Mequon; and Julie Jasculca of Glendale; sons Michael (Jody) Garber of Bayside; and Michael (Tamara) Jasculca of Thiensville; brother Julius (Ann) Garber of Mequon and 12 grandchildren.

Rabbi Gideon Goldenholz officiated at graveside services July 11 at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
