Holocaust survivor Natalie Markowski (nee Nechuma Eisenberg Gitrayer) died March 8. She was 90.
She was born in Dubno, Poland, and came to the United States with her daughter in 1950. She lived and worked in Milwaukee until 1989, when she moved to Fond du Lac. She resided at Laurel Oaks Retirement Community in Milwaukee for the past two years and was a member of Temple Menorah.
According to her family, “She demonstrated unconditional love, patience and devotion toward her family and friends.”
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Harvey) Kaufman of Bayside, two grandsons and a niece.
Rabbi Isaac Lerer officiated at graveside services at Mound Zion Cemetery on March 9.
Memorial contributions to the Temple Menorah Food Fund would be appreciated by the family.
