Muriel Winter

Muriel Winter (nee Lubliner) of Bayside died on Aug. 27. She was 96 years old.
Born and raised in Chicago, she moved to Milwaukee when she married Jack A. Winter, founder of women’s clothing manufacturer Jack Winter, Inc.

An avid sports fan, she and a son convinced her late husband to join a group of investors in bringing the Brewers baseball franchise to Milwaukee. She enjoyed playing cards and golfing, and her family described her as a social woman who loved parties.

He husband died in 1991. Survivors include her children Jack R. (Margo) Winter of Bayside and Michael (Arlene) Winter of Miami; sister Gladys Asher of Highland Park, Ill.; brother Robert Lubliner of Ft. Myers, Fla., brother-in-law Elmer Winter of Milwaukee; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 30. Cantor Miriam Eskenasy officiated. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.
