Molly F. Alpert

Manitowoc resident Molly F. Alpert (nee Karan) died Nov. 20. She was 94.

Born in Belleville, she worked in the finance field in Milwaukee until her marriage to Ray Alpert in 1947. They moved to Manitowoc the same year and went into business with Ray’s cousin, Johnny Alpert, in the ABC Supermarket, which the Alperts owned until 1987.

A homemaker, she was a member pf Anshe Poale Zedek Synagogue and its Sisterhood and Manitowoc Elks Lodge 687 Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her husband in 1995, she is survived by sons Steven R. (Kathleen) Alpert of Manitowoc and James H. (Lynn S. Borkin) Alpert of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Rabbi Sidney Vineburg officiated at graveside services Nov. 23 at the Sheboygan Hebrew Cemetery, Kohler.
