Marla Schneiderman-Berman

Lifelong Milwaukeean Marla Sue Schneiderman-Berman died April 27 of cancer. She was 39.

She graduated from Nicolet High School in 1980, and earned her bachelors degree in 1984 and her law degree in 1987 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She practiced law with her father at Schneiderman & Schneiderman LLC.

She belonged to Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun and was a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by husband Dr. James E. Berman of Fox Point; children Allison, Leigh and David Berman; parents Joyce and Ed Schneiderman of Fox Point; brother Howard (Gina Cahan) Schneiderman of Seattle; sister Ellen (Andrew Orenstein) Schneiderman of Bayside; mother-in-law Rochelle Berman of Fox Point; brother-in-law Gary (Jennifer) Berman of Minneapolis; and sister-in-law Janet (Jay) Miller of Chicago.

Rabbi Francis Barry Silberg officiated at the funeral on April 30. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
