Milwaukee native Marion Rapkin died on Nov. 9 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and coronary artery disease. She was 92.
She graduated from South Division High School in 1932 and attended the Milwaukee State Teachers College, now the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She worked as a blueprint operator for Aqua-Chem, Johnson Controls, Kalmbach Publishing and Allis-Chalmer.
She was a member of Temple Menorah and sang in the choir at Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue. One of her hobbies was woodworking, for which she made several pieces of furniture. She also hand-painted figurines for many years.
She is survived by a son Harry A. Rapkin of Flemington, N.J., and three grandchildren.
Rabbi Shlomo Pontos officiated at the funeral on Nov. 12. Burial was in Temple Menorah Ever-Rest Cemetery.
