Native Milwaukeean Marilyn Beryl Chernin (nee Feinberg) died May 29 at the age of 76.
She graduated from Washington High School in 1947 and studied at State Teachers College.
She was a member of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, where she was active in the synagogue’s sisterhood. She was also a member of Memorial Lodge B’nai Brith.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and the two visited six presidential libraries. In 1995, they spent 49 minutes in the Oval Office at the White House while on a trip to Washington, D.C.
She is survived by husband Jack Chernin; sons Michael Chernin of Whitefish Bay and Bradley Chernin of Glendale; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held on June 1. Rabbi Marc Berkson officiated. Burial was at Spring Hill Cemetery.
