Former Milwaukeean Lynn M. Parr (nee Schefrin) died March 16 in Boynton Beach, Fla., at the age of 62.
She graduated from Washington High School, and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Prospect Hall secretarial school in Milwaukee.
A member of Congregation Shalom, she was also a founding member and president of the Couples Chapter of the City of Hope, a volunteer organization supporting the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif.
She moved from Milwaukee to Indianapolis in 1990, then to Boynton Beach in 2000, and worked in medical administration in both cities.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Sheppard Parr; sons Andrew Parr of Simsbury, Conn. and Jeffrey Parr of Las Vegas; brother Richard Schefrin of Boca Raton, Fla.; sister Suzi (Mark) Cherner of Glendale; mother-in-law Mildred Parr of Boynton Beach; and step-mother Jessie Schefrin of Lauderhills, Fla.
Funeral services were held March 19 in Florida. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 7, 1 p.m., at Congregation Shalom in Fox Point.
