Lt. Col. Theodore Sosnay of Glendale died July 30 of heart disease. He was 92.
Born in Russia in 1912, he came to Milwaukee in 1914. He was a graduate of West Division High School and earned undergraduate and law degrees from Marquette University.
He practiced law in the Judge Advocate Corps. of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association. According to his family, he enjoyed reading, music, golfing and singing.
He is survived by Yetta Sosnay née Goodman, of Glendale, his wife of 68 years; daughters Merry (Jordan) Atinsky of Glendale and Vicki Sosnay of Brown Deer; son Richard (Luanne) Sosnay of Denver; sister Florence Pollack of Glendale; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Hazzan Mitchell Martin officiated at graveside services Aug. 1. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family would appreciate memorials to Women’s American ORT or Congregation Beth Israel.
