Leon Kleiner

Holocaust survivor Leon Kleiner died Sept. 30 of natural causes. He was 91.
Born in Poland, he came to Milwaukee from Germany in 1949 and worked as a livestock dealer. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel.

Survivors include sons Barry (Rachel) Kleiner and Dr. Harvey (Judy) Kleiner, both of Bayside, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His wife, Gilda, preceded him in death earlier this year.

Rabbi Paul Kerbel officiated at the funeral on Oct. 3. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.
