June R. Abramson

Milwaukee native June R. Abramson died June 23 from complications of a fractured hip. She was 85.

She attended North Division High School and worked for the A.O. Smith Corporation for 33 years. She worked in the business office and then, during World War II, began welding in the factory, said her sister Marillyn Miller. She continued as a welder until retirement.

According to her family, she loved baseball and bingo.

She was preceded in death by brothers Vernon Abramson and Warren Abramson; and sisters Rae Anosov, Dorothy Cutler, Ruth Jacobson, and Bernice Rautbort. She is survived by sister Marillyn (Harvey) Miller, sister-in-law Joan Abramson and brother-in-law Norman Anosov.

Rabbis Isaac and Gil-Ezer Lerer officiated at graveside services on June 27. Burial was in Agudas Achim Cemetery.
