Julius A. Lichterman

Funeral services were held Feb. 15 for Julius A. Lichterman of Glendale. He died Feb. 12 of a heart attack at the age of 77.

He was born in Chicago and came to Milwaukee in 1989 from Racine. He worked as a liquor salesman for 35 years for Lake Shore Distributing Co. After his retirement 13 years ago, he worked part-time at Pick ‘N Save Grocery Store.

He was an avid golfer, bowler and traveler and enjoyed reading and playing cards. He was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue in Mequon and Congregation Beth Israel Sinai in Racine.

Cantor Martyn Adelberg officiated at the funeral on Feb. 15 at Racine Jewish Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Bess Rosen Lichterman; sons Lorin (Judy) Lichterman of Racine, Brian (Mary Jo) Lichterman of Sarasota, Fla., and Perry (Robbie) Rosen of San Diego, Calif.; daughters Ina (Michael) Levin of San Diego, Sheryl (Claudio) Pelc of Milwaukee, and Lynn (Bill) Hurwitz of Mequon; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Lichterman (nee Chait) in 1986.
