Milwaukee native Jordan Frank, M.D., of Beloit, died at home Aug. 23. He was 76.
A graduate of Washington High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a bachelor’s in pharmacy and a medical degree, he served in the U.S. Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
He completed a residency in pathology at Madison General Hospital and worked as director of the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory at Beloit Memorial Hospital until his retirement in 1994.
He was a past president of the Rock County Medical Society, Beloit Memorial Hospital medical staff and Congregation B’Nai Abraham. He served as a director of the Beloit chapter of the American Red Cross and as chairman of the state Laboratory Certification Advisory Council. He also volunteered for many other medical and community organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanne, nee Gordon; son, Alan Frank, of Woodridge, Ill.; daughters Judith (Lawrence) Lernor of Woodridge and Cheryl Frank of Milwaukee; sister Dr. Suzanne (Dr. Dennis) Adair of Fairfield, Calif.; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by sister Phyllis Rosenburg.
Rabbi Ira Youdovin officiated at funeral services Aug. 25.
