Milwaukee native John I. Cohen died of heart failure Jan. 26. He was 68.
A 1955 graduate of Rufus King High School, he earned a degree in business administration from Spencerian Business College in 1961. He was formerly employed by Bonded Messenger Service, according to his family.
He was a member of Congregation Shalom and was active in B’nai B’rith International-Wisconsin Region. His special interests included music.
He is survived by daughters Tracy (Tom) Goldman of Phoenix, Ariz., Laura (Scott) Kregloski of Thiensville and Ellen (Elliot) Kula of Miami, Fla.; sisters Charlotte (Harold) Atinsky of Phoenix, Ariz., and Nancy (Bill) Bergner of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
Rabbi Shari Shamah officiated at private burial services on Jan. 29.
Memorials to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
