Former Milwaukeean Jeanne R. Kahn (nee Rosenbacher) died Sept. 17 in Palm Springs, Calif. She was 90.
She was born in Chicago and graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago. She worked as an illustrator and fashion designer and remained an avid amateur artist throughout her life.

She was a philanthropist, world-wide traveler and occasional model for charity fashion shows. She loved art, dancing and music. Her family noted that she had a keen sense of humor and was a gifted story teller. “She was the epitome of style, grace and class, and her wisdom was immeasurable,” said her son, Richard (Kathy) Abeles of Santa Fe, N.M.
She is further survived by son Jerome (Betty) Abeles Jr. of Winnetka, Ill.; brother Franklin (Kathleen) Rosenbacher of Melbourne, Fla.; step-sons Henry Kahn of Cornelius, N.C., James Kahn of Plano, Tex., Judge Charles Kahn of Milwaukee and William Kahn of St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private services were held in California.
