Funeral services were held Feb. 7 for Ida D. Neuman (nee Nash). She died of heart failure Feb. 4 in Beachwood, Ohio, at age 93.
She was born in Piotrokow-Tribanalski, Poland, and settled in Milwaukee in 1920. She graduated from North Division High School in 1927 and worked as a bookkeeper for various Milwaukee companies.
A member of Congregation Beth Israel, she also belonged to Hadassah, B’nai B’rith, the Order of the Eastern Star and NA’AMAT USA.
According to her family, she was a great cook, top-notch Mah Jong player and a loving parent and grandparent. She resided in Milwaukee until last year when she moved to be near her daughter, Helene (Dr. Melvyn) Diamond of Pepper Pike, Ohio.
She is further survived by son Don (Barbara) Neuman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister Sally (Joseph) Karp of Milwaukee; brother Harold Nash of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Harry Neuman, died in 1993.
Rabbi Shari Heinrich officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.
