Howard O. Steinberg

Whitefish Bay resident Howard O. Steinberg died Oct. 17 of Alzheimer’s disease. He was 80 years old.

Born in Milwaukee, Steinberg graduated from Riverside High School and the University of Wisconsin. He was an accountant and worked at Scribner, Cohen and Co.
Steinberg was a member of Congregation Emanu-el B’ne Jeshurun. His special interests included tennis and other sports.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet; sons David (Ruth) Steinberg of Tel Aviv and Robert (Cynthia Mealy) Steinberg of Verona, Wis.; daughter Janice (Jack Cassidy) Steinberg of San Diego; brother Mel Marlowe of San Francisco; sister Phyllis Goodman of Longboat Key, Fla.; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Spring Hill Cemetery on Oct. 20. Rabbi Marc E. Berkson officiated.
