Centenarian Helen Werner died of complications of age at Colonial Manor Nursing Home on April 13. She was 101.
She was born in Milwaukee and attended North Division High School. With her husband, Nathan, she co-owned Dennis Clothiers & Jewelers from 1952-83, working there as bookkeeper.
She was a member of Congregation Shalom. Her special interest was spending time with her nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by son Jordon (Alta) Werner of Naples, Fla., and daughter Beverly (Sheldon) Davidoff of Glendale. Her husband died in 1963.
Rabbi Shari Shamah officiated at the funeral on April 15. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
The family suggested that contributions in her memory be sent to Congregation Shalom.
