A graduate of Battle Creek High School in Nebraska, he moved to Wisconsin in 1968. He was a claims analyst for Northwestern Mutual Life.
A member of Congregation Shalom, he volunteered for Shalom’s services at the Jewish Home and Care Center. He enjoyed genealogy, car racing, reading, travel, metal and woodworking, landscaping and volunteering, and he “took a keen interest in helping his family in a myriad of ways; he was always able and willing to help in any possible way,” family members said.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Gelin Stoll, of Mequon; daughter Tamara Stolle of Mequon; brothers Ronald (Mary) Stolle of Humboldt, Iowa, Ted (Marjorie) Stolle of Omaha, Neb., Robert (Linda) Stolle of Lincoln, Neb., and Terry (Joan) Stolle of Lincoln; and sisters-in-law Freda (Earl) Adashek of Mequon and Devora Gelin of Glendale.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on Dec. 9. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
Memorials to Congregation Shalom or the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
