Gabriel Medress of Sun City, Ariz. died April 24. He was 94.
Born in London, England, he was raised in Milwaukee and moved to Green Bay with his wife in 1939 to open Gabe’s Television Appliances, according to his family. After retiring in 1977, they moved to Sun City.
A member of B’nai B’rith, Green Bay Downtown Businessmen’s Association, Rotary Club, Masons and Shriners, he was dedicated to community activities and charitable organizations. He was also past president of Congregation Cnesses Israel in Green Bay and a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City.
He was preceded in death by sisters Ann Mantel Luban and Goldie Katz.
He is survived by Lillian Medress, of Sun City, Ariz., his wife of 67 years; sons Mark (Marjorie) Medress of Berkeley, Calif., and Harvey (Judy) Medress of Green Bay; brother Abe (Dolly) Medress of Los Angeles; sister Sylvia Spiegel of Milwaukee; two granddaughters and six great- grandchildren.
Graveside burial services took place at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, Ariz., April 26.
