Funeral services were held here for Fanny Rose Kahn (nee Laufer). She died May 23 at the age of 91 in North Miami Beach, Fla., where she had resided since 1996.
She was born in Cologne, Germany, and came to Milwaukee in 1937. She worked in various sales positions.
She was a member of Congregation Anshai Lebowitz and belonged to Hadassah, NA’AMAT USA and Women’s American ORT.
She loved to play cards and mahjong and to attend senior programs at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Her family recalled, “She was a beautiful person who was loving and devoted to her family and friends.”
She is survived by daughter Sandy (Danny) Brand and sister Regina (Fred) Jawer of North Miami Beach; sisters-in-law Ann Laufer and Anita Laufer, both of Milwaukee; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by husbands Nathan Rose in 1960 and Karl Kahn in 1991.
Rabbi Shlomo Pontos officiated at the service. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.
