Eva Liss

Former Milwaukeean Eva Liss (nee Garber) died recently of injuries suffered in a car accident in San Diego, Calif. She was 81.

She was born in Milwaukee and graduated from North Division High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a degree in medical technology.

She lived most of her adult life in California, working as a real estate broker and investor with her husband, Stanley Liss. In addition, she loved gardening and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Ira (Eva) Liss of San Diego; daughters Sarah (Jeremy) Katz of Berkeley, Calif., and Judy (John) Thorpe of Laguna Nagel, Calif.; brothers Julius (Ann) Garber of Mequon and Nathan (Paula) Garber of Glendale; sisters-in-law Lottie Garber of San Diego and Shirley Garber of Duluth, Minn.; and five grandchildren.

Services and burial were held in San Diego.
