Lifelong Milwaukeean Esther Spitzer of Brown Deer died Sept. 21 at the age of 91.
She graduated from North Division High School and worked in sales. According to her family, she enjoyed playing cards and slot machines and spending time with her many friends and relatives.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Spector of Glendale; sons Jerome (Gail) Spitzer of Bayside and Robert (Rosemary) Spitzer of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters Sarah Weiss of Milwaukee and Rebecca Cooper of Hollywood, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Alfred Spitzer, died in 1979.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on Sept. 23. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
