Graveside services were held July 8 for Esther H. Wilets. She died July 4 at the Jewish Home and Care Center of complications of old age. She was 100.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and married to the late Jack B. Wilets, M.D. He died in 1980.
She had to leave high school after the 10th grade, but returned as an adult and received her degree at age 45. She enjoyed reading, traveling and investments.
She is survived by daughters Elaine (Kenneth) Berke of Glendale; Joyce (Jordan) Lewis of Glencoe, Ill., and Jacquelyn Miller of Northridge, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Hazzan Mitchell Martin officiated at the service at Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family suggested memorial contributions to the Jewish National Fund or Hadassah.
