Funeral services were held March 3 for native Milwaukeean Ervin Holzman of Iowa City, Iowa. He died Feb. 28 at the age of 77 after a short illness.
A Washington High School graduate, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in a specialty advertising business.
He is survived by daughter Betsey (Jeff) Kosier of Iowa City; son Steven Holzman of San Marino, Calif.; sister Beverly Krasno Katz of Miami, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Rabbi Isaac Lerer officiated at the graveside service in Mound Zion Cemetery.
