Native Milwaukeean Edith Klein, nee Urich, died Jan. 25 at the age of 92.
She was active in volunteer activities according to her family and she received many awards, including the Fanny and Bill Kesselman Senior Service Award in 1981.
Her most beloved volunteer project was the Share Shop which began with a handful of donated used clothing stored in her garage and grew into a facility that clothed most of the Russian refugees who came to Milwaukee and furnished their apartments, her family said.
Preceded in death by her husband, Michael Klein, in 2000, she is survived by sisters Bede Urich and Clarice Resnick both of Milwaukee; a grandson and three great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Myrna Cohen of Milwaukee, followed her in death Feb. 12.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at services on Jan. 27. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
