David Estren

Marinette native David Estren died after a long illness Jan. 12, in Rose City, Mich. He was 82.

He was injured in a Golden Glove boxing match in high school in Marinette and was confined to a nursing home for the rest of his life, according to his sister, Dorothy Paris of Shorewood.

His only surviving relatives are his sister and her son, Jon Paris, of New York City.
Graveside services were held at Congregation Montefiore Cemetery in Marinette, Jan. 16.

Memorials to Congregation Shalom would be appreciated by the family.
