Milwaukee native Celia (Shayna) Lang, nee Nathan, died of natural causes in Asheville, N.C., March 6. She was 97.
A graduate of Washington High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1931.
She and husband Martin, who preceded her in death in 1984, owned Lang’s Shade Shop.
She was a member of Congregation Shalom prior to moving to Asheville, in the mid-1980s.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sister Libby Harrison. Survivors include son Bill (Chris) of Asheville, N.C.; sisters Edith Milan of Milwaukee and Beulah Pritzker of Peoria, Ill.; and three granddaughters.
Funeral services and burial took place in Asheville, March 8.
