Funeral services were held April 20 for Beatrice W. Garfinkel of Luxemburg, Wis. She died April 16 of heart failure at the age of 84.
A Milwaukee native, she graduated from Washington High School in 1936 and from the Mount Sinai School of Nursing in 1939. She worked as a registered nurse at various local hospitals. She was a life member of Hadassah.
She is survived by sons Robert (Kathy) Garfinkel of Luxemburg and Neil (Mary) Garfinkel of St. Michael, Minn.; and two grandchildren. Her husband, Elias Garfinkel, died in 1998.
Rabbi Paul Kerbel officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
Memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated by the family.
