Retired real estate broker Alex M. Weis died Dec. 25 of heart failure at the Jewish Home and Care Center.
Weis, 85, was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in journalism.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel. In his spare time, he loved cruising on his pontoon boat which he named “Bubba Lou.”
He is survived by his wife, Louise (nee Friedland); daughters Margie (Marty) Stein of Glendale; Laura (the late Alan) Danoff of San Jose, Calif., and Peggy (Jay) Monroe of Sun Prairie; and two grandsons.
Rabbi Shlomo Pontos conducted the funeral service on Dec. 28. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Jewish Home and Care Center.
