Abraham Malkin

Funeral services were held Oct. 24 for Abraham Malkin. A resident of Chai Point, he died Oct. 23 of heart failure at the age of 88.

He was born in Marinette, Wis., and attended Boys Technical High School. He worked as a self-employed livestock dealer and belonged to the Wisconsin Livestock Dealers Association. According to his family, he worked until he was 84, when his health began to fail, and often said he wished he could go back to work.

He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, the Masonic Lodge in Sun Prairie and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, business associates and especially with his great-granddaughter.

His survivors include son Richard (Laurie) Malkin of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; daughter Daryle Malkin of Glendale; sister Mae Marks Willinson of Glendale; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.
