“The Enemy is Fear: A Palestinian Perspective on Reconciliation in Midst of Conflict”

Amid the struggle against radical religious and political extremism, finding new ways to promote dialogue, empathy, tolerance, and understanding in the Middle East has never been more crucial. As a campaigner for peace, Professor Dajani will discuss the need for moderation in religion and politics, the importance of thoughtful leadership to promote interfaith dialogue, and the necessity of overcoming barriers of mistrust and misunderstanding in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Join Professor Dajani for an engaging conversation on wasatia (the middle way), conflict resolution, interfaith dialogue, religion, and peace in the Middle East, and to discover why and how reconciliation can be found in the midst of conflict. A post-talk discussion will be moderated by Doug Savage, Assistant Director of UWM’s Institute of World Affairs.
