This February, Milwaukee absorbed three African asylum seekers who spent time in Israel before receiving refugee status and resettling to the United States. These young men were among the estimated 45,000 Africans in Israel currently in Israel. The issue has been a source of internal Israeli conflict and global criticism. Learn about the issue, hear personal experiences, and explore perspectives from two local women who have led local resettlement efforts. Note: This lunch will take place during Passover; feel free to bring a lunch.
