Rob Reiner, 78, the Jewish film director, actor and activist, and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found dead in their Brentwood, California, home in December. Their son Nick, 32, has been arrested in connection with the homicide. Reiner considered himself an atheist but embraced Yiddishkeit. His mother famously ordered whatever Meg Ryan was having in the “When Harry Met Sally” scene he filmed at Katz’s Deli. Shank Hall, 1434 N. Farwell Ave., honored Reiner in December with its digital display.
