Violins of Hope Exhibit
Jewish Museum Milwaukee presents an exhibition built around the internationally renowned Violins of Hope project, featuring 24 restored string instruments once played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust. Each violin tells a personal story, honoring those who faced adversity and celebrating the resilience of individuals who turned to music as a source of solace, survival, and defiance. Visitors can experience these violins up close, learn about the musicians who played them, and engage in broader conversations about the lessons of the Holocaust, antisemitism, and cultural memory.
