Volunteers and food donations needed

Tikkun Ha-Ir’s Holiday Gifts Donation Drive runs now through Dec. 10.

Items can be dropped off at multiple locations including Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, Congregation Emanu-El B’Ne Jeshurun, Congregation Shalom, Congregation Sinai, Hillel Milwaukee, Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, Lake Park Synagogue, Milwaukee Jewish Day School, or Temple Menorah. Donors can go to the “Giving Channukiot” at the listed locations to a list of suggested items.

The donation drive is an annual event that collects necessities and other items for the Milwaukee community. Donors can give items such as winter clothing for adults and children, hygiene products, electronics, children’s books, coloring books, toys and games.

Donors can also visit the Tikkun Ha-Ir Amazon wishlist and order products to be donated. Select “Sami Stein Avner Gift Registry Address” when making a purchase at checkout.

Tikkun Ha-Ir is looking for volunteers to help with the sorting, distribution and delivery process to partnering organizations. The sorting location is 121 E. Silver Spring Drive, Suite 202 in Whitewash Bay. Volunteers can register at thi-milwaukee.org

On Dec. 24, Tikkun Ha-Ir will also serve a holiday meal to members and residents of Cathedral Center. The organization is looking for 10 volunteers, ages 13 and up with a guardian accompanying all minors. Volunteers can also register for this event online. Registration links can be found on the THI website.
