Yom HaShoah  

Stand with the Milwaukee community in memorial to the six million and in remembrance of all forms of resistance. Holocaust survivor Claire Boren will join this year’s commemoration. KOACH at the Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC, a social club for adults 55+, will bring Cantor Perper and Faith Steinsnyder for an afternoon of entertainment. Translating Miriam Karpilove 

Jessica Kirzane, translator of several works by Yiddish humorist Miriam Karpilove, will interweave Karpilove’s biography with excerpts and discussion of her clever and humorous writing in a lively portrait of a quick-witted writer and the worlds she inhabited and created.
