Torah Academy of Milwaukee students recall Jewish events 

Torah Academy of Milwaukee’s Portals to the Past was a school-wide project that highlights major events in Jewish history. This student-driven project had groups produce a banner, an audio-visual presentation and a three-dimensional model. Five banners were presented in a Feb. 6, school assembly, shown in one photo. In the other photo, a banner highlights the conversation recorded in the Talmud between Rabbi Akiva and other leading rabbis of the generation after the destruction of the Temple. The Hebrew quote on top is, “They weep and Rabbi Akiva laughs.”  The quote on the bottom is “Rabbi Akiva, you have comforted us.”
