JCC to distribute more than 150 Thanksgiving meals at pantry

 

The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, in partnership with the Hunger Task Force and Trader Joes, will distribute more than 150 Thanksgiving meals to community residents from its drive thru/walk up Jewish Community Food Pantry on the corner of 29th and Center.  

Each distributed meal will include a whole Thanksgiving turkey, holiday pie, cranberry sauce, turkey stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy mix, in addition to fresh onions, sweet potatoes, and green beans.  

Leaders scheduled to appear or participate include Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Amy Turim of Milwaukee’s Department of City Development, and JCC President & CEO Mark Shapiro, among others.   

WHAT:            Annual distribution of Thanksgiving meals for community residents served by the JCC’s Jewish Community Food Pantry.

WHEN:           Thursday, Nov. 18 

8-9 a.m.: Exterior set-up and drive-thru preparation  

9:00 a.m.-Noon: Meal Distribution & Client Service
